BMXTRIX is happy to
be hosting the official information for the 2003 York Jam. Please
check back several times for updated information as it becomes available.
When Is It:
The 2003 York Jam will be taking place on Saturday, July 26, 2003 and
there will be people hanging around Sunday, July 27, 2003. It will be going on all day -
show up anytime, there is no 'official' start time, there is no official
end time.
What Will Be
Going On: Just riding? Well, that and possibly some
sort of video showing in the evening. It looks like BMXTRIX will be
bringing a projector and there will be some conversation with Eaton and
the York crew about what will be shown. Possibly the new BMXTRIX
video Horizons may be available at that time. It will be an outdoor
showing around 8:30PM with no charge for the viewing and videos should be
available to take home after the viewing.
Who Can Come:
Everyone! This is not a contest, but just a 'get together' for
everyone who is into riding. Not just flatlanders, but the entire
bike riding, specifically freestyle BMX community. Last year, people from as
far away as Brazil were in attendance - so what's you excuse for not
being there? If you are a beginner, with less than a year of riding
experience then this is a MUST show up event! The most fun you can
have because it's not a contest, and the lot is HUGE so you can just hide
in a corner when you want to ride, or watch guys that are really, really
good, rip it up.
What To Bring:
Your bike, a good attitude, plenty to drink - it's July after all! Pretty darn warm and
definitely humid. People may bring some cool stuff to sell, so if
you want to buy the latest video or something like that, bring 15 extra
bucks for that, and 10 bucks for an 'Official York Jam' t-shirt if you
want one. But, you are NOT required to buy anything at all.
It's free, it's fun, it's the York Jam.
